This session equips field leaders with practical tools to support their crews\, recognize when someone may be struggling\, and create a culture of clear expectations and accountability. Participants will explore the principles of VitalCog\, learn a practical approach to coaching and feedback from an experienced trades professional\, and leave with strategies for handling the everyday challenges faced by foremen and field leaders. This program is ideal for new\, experienced\, and future field leaders. Phil Marquis is a seasoned labor relations specialist with over 20 years of experience in union environments\, contract negotiation\, grievance management\, and contract administration. As a former plant manager at a chemical mining facility\, Phil focused on environmental permitting\, safety\, compliance\, capital projects\, quality assurance\, and employee development. He is passionate about coaching and helping employees grow and has received specialized training in leadership development and employee engagement. Phil holds a Master's degree in chemistry from University of Minnesota\, Duluth and Bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering and biology from University of Connecticut\, bringing a unique technical and managerial perspective to his work. Todd Mathwig is a Pipefitter and Labor Manager at Corval Group\, Inc. He graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology in 1997 and has built a career in mechanical construction\, gaining extensive experience in field operations\, workforce coordination\, and project support. Todd enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with others and is committed to helping develop the next generation of construction professionals through training and mentorship.
